Walter Scott, Jr. (1931-) born in Omaha. Civil engineer, philanthropist, former CEO of Peter Kiewit Sons' Incorporated, which has built more miles of the U.S. Interstate Highway System than any other contractor. Scott was the 1997 recipient of the Horatio Alger Award and ranked among the wealthiest 400 Americans by Forbes in 2002. He sits on the Board of Berkshire Hathaway.
